Valentine’s Day

You've been hugged!

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and this year will look a little different for us.  The pandemic has ruined lots of plans and activities, but I won’t allow it to ruin any Holidays….especially my favorite-Valentine’s Day!

So this year instead of a Valentine’s Day party, we decided on “hugging” our friends.  Our Halloween Boo-ing was such a big hit that I decided to do the same, but with a Valentine theme!  “Hugging” friends is basically ding-dong ditching, but in a nice way because you leave a basket of goodies for them!

here's what I did

I started with a heart shaped bowl and began filling the bowl with small items to entertain the little ones.   I found most of these items from the bargain bins at Target

Art activities: Paper bag puppet kit, color your own squishy kit

Decorations: paper heart banner, wall clings

Non candy items: projector flashlight, play doh, socks

Candy: fruit snacks, chocolate hearts

I collected all the items, put them in a heart shaped bowl and printed out a note to attach to the gift.  If you want to join in on the fun, I added a link to the free printable below!  Happy Hugging!
